Recycling/Salvage

Goodwill has been a major force in recycling for over 100 years and we continue that tradition today. Items that we cannot sell in our stores are recycled through our recycling and salvage programs. Not only do we turn T-shirts into rags, we also recycle books, shoes, purses, belts, candles, metal, cardboard, cell phones, eyeglasses, clothing, computers and more. Our partnership with Dell, Inc. has led to tons of recycled computers and components being kept out of landfills. We also make products from recycled materials, including repackaged plastic clothes hangers, fire-starters made with wax from used candles, and decorative fences produced from crate tops.
